New AOD Studio Track - Amplified Messiah

Reid-Genauer_Adam-Terrell_Kickstarter_AssemblyofDust

Amplified Messiah is a song that describes the spiritual sensation that rock music, loud guitars and pounding drums provides for so many - including me.  It's a song AOD started playing years ago and has fallen off the set lists of late, but it was too perfect not to record as part of Conspire to Smile. In addition to the title track Conspire to Smile, “Amplified Messiah” is the other marquee song on the new Reid Genauer & Folks album and marks the first studio recording made by the original members of Assembly of Dust since Some Assembly Required in 2009. As you might expect, it includes Nate Wilson on keys and Andy Herrick on drums. Fear not, Jason and Dave are all over the album. Dave actually joins Andy for the double drummer effect on Amplified. Thanks for listening, folks. Be sure to check out details of the  Conspire to Smile Album an Kickstarter.

Amplified Messiah Lyrics

I was waiting for my messiah
With a drummer named Jebediah
Amplified desire
In the halls of a queen

There's a city of souls
It's rough and it's old
And it's all but saintly
I just stopped to get fed
And was shocked when they said
Have you met your maker lately?

I was waiting for my messiah
With a drummer named Jebediah
Amplified desire
In the halls of a queen

The ceremonious voice
Of fate and free choice
was causing a bout of numbness
In the engine of dreams
There's an unruly queen
She bowed her head when she sung this

I was waiting for my messiah
With a drummer named Jebediah
Amplified desire
In the halls of a queen
